At last the kids at local Injanoo lower primary School wont have to look over their shoulders for a while. this 3 metre croc was caught yesterday in a trap set just outside the school on the waters edge. it's off to a relocation but there is still the 5 metre one that has so far eluded Parks & wildlife rangers! [Photo taken at the compound at Bamaga Police Station March 23/08]
Magnetic ant hill at Mutee Heads. These are everywhere. I liked this one as the fence goes right through the middle!
Easter Saturday Picnic at Mutee Beach with Phil, Toni, Chris, Kate & Jenny. Pristine beach on the west coast of the cape.
Crocodile tracks in the sand at Mudee Beach. [definitely not pretend!] these photos were taken near [8 metres] some fellow teacher camping sites [which were relocated very quickly]. Estimates croc size between 2 to 2.5 metres in length.
The 1st line of defence! 1941 WW2 radar relics left over from the days when everyone epected a Japanese invasion. Mudee Heads [just near the Mouth of the Jardine River, on the West coast [ 1 hour 4/wheel drive from Bamaga]
